sometimes we think an alcholic looks or acts a certain way. we don't relieze it can be the housewife, the college student, the (fill in the blank). We laughed at our alcholism and in our minds we were ok because we hadn't "lost" anything material (home, car, keys :), job). But what we had lost was on the inside - we used makeup to cover the red noses and eyes. we chewed gum and for me - I drank publically so no one knew I was drinking privately! I lost so much inside, and today i'm greatful for the people of AA who are helping me to try to find all that I lost. God bless
